I absolutely love this topic so I am excited to share this with you! When I felt more gratitude in my life, that is when life became filled with great opportunities, more money, great friends and more love.
Let me ask you this..are you happy with your life and how it is today? Do you want to land your dream job? Lose weight? Find Love? Be happier?
Well, I wanted to talk with you about one of the two biggest topics for women; money and weight loss. We want more money to do the things we love and less weight to feel incredible in our skin. So read on!
Law Of Attraction:
The easiest way to describe the law of attraction is “like attracts like”. So the energy that you put out into the universe will come back to you…guaranteed. If you are constantly feeling angry and frustrated then the universe will give you more things to feel angry and frustrated about. When you feel happy and positive then the universe will give you more things to make you feel happy and positive. For example, when you wake up in the morning what are the first things that you say to yourself? Do you say “Oh, I really do not want to go to work today, I hate work”. How do you feel when you think this? Do you feel deflated, negative and uninspired?
The course of your day is a reflection of the thoughts you think and the energy (feelings) that you put out into the universe. Instead, wake up and say “wow, I feel amazing today! I am so looking forward to what the day will bring me!”. I always lay in bed for a little while and go through a list in my head of all the things that I am grateful for.
While I am getting ready I also make a list of all the abundance in my life, hot running water, a gorgeous little puppy that is so excited to see me, a beautiful clear sky, my health, my vision. By the time I begin work I am PUMPED!!! I feel joyful and incredibly blessed beyond measure. That is how you want to start your day, start it with fire and enthusiasm and just see where it takes you!
Gratitude & Feelings:
Being grateful for the things in your life now will bring more into your life and the reason for this is because the universe is responding to your feelings. When you feel happy and joyful about the amazing opportunities, friends, family, your work and yourself you are feeling BIG with happiness. Feeling happy makes you a magnet for more things to be happy about and feeling negative will make you a magnet for more negative things to come your way.
Gratitude & Money:
When it comes to the topic of money this is a big one because when you are lacking money it can be difficult to feel happy and abundant. So here is what I like to do – when I get a bill in the mail for electricity for example, I write on the bill “Thank you” and when I pay the bill I reflect on all the things that the electricity gave me. I was able to work on my lap top, keep warm with the heater on, cook AMAZING meals, I could see after dark because I had lights. So, by the time I have paid the bill I feel so grateful for the electricity company and for giving me the privilege of switching on something and it works instantly. You can try this with any bill you receive!
I also love looking into my bank account regularly and see the balance and say “Thank you”, and let me tell you there were some days when I would be in arrears. So on those particular days I would say “Thank you” for all the money that has flooded into my bank account over the years. I would reflect on the jobs that I had and the stable income and the certainty that I would always have money in my account each week. Well, from this the universe always gave me more money, and sometimes in the most surreal way!
Gratitude & Losing Weight:
If you are in a chapter of your life when you have put on weight or you may have been unhappy with your weight for many years, gratitude can and will shift the weight. Let me explain, when you feel hateful towards your body and you look in the mirror and feel a real sense of shame and dislike then you will never lose the weight. If you go on a crash diet you may lose the weight for a while, however, it will always come back on if you have lack of self-love for yourself.
If you look in the mirror and say, “gosh, you have a cute bum” or “I love how your hair looks today” then you will feel a sense of joy each time you look in the mirror. When you appreciate your body then you take away all fear, hate, dread, and shame that is keeping the weight on.
Having gratitude for the ability to walk everywhere with your legs and your hands that can pick up things, write and touch. Feel gratitude for your back and spine as this is one of the most important parts of your body for getting you around everywhere. When you shower your body with gratitude and respect that is when all negativity will diminish and you will be left with feelings of love towards your miracle of a body!
In terms of weight lose it is also really important to get to the core feelings about why you may be overeating. When you can identify this and begin to heal, you will really see a shift in your body’s weight. You may be overeating because you are stressed, or unhappy, you may be protecting yourself and keeping weight on due to fear. What ever the reason, go within and discover more about yourself and then feel gratitude.

If you want to take this topic even further I suggest you read the book called “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne. She is the author of “The Secret” and the book The Magic is what comes after the secret. The magic guides you through a series of topics and how to be more grateful for what you have in life. Each day you are given a task to complete. For example, one day I was instructed to go to work and make a list in my head of all the things that I needed to show gratitude towards. Throughout the day I made a list of the photocopiers, my phone, my desk with a view, my boss, my colleagues etc. By the end of the day I absolutely loved my job, which of course makes me feel amazing and happy to go into work each and everyday.
So, I would love you to make a list of 10 things that you are grateful for each day. If you would like to lose weight, then write 10 things that you are grateful for about your body, mind and spirit. If you would like more money in your life, then write down 10 things that you have been able to buy with the money you had. Make the list in the morning so that you can feel the overwhelming feeling of gratitude throughout your day and in turn attract more things to be grateful for.
