You create the beautiful vision board, you set goals with soul and you intentionally start taking action towards the beautiful dream life that you visualise daily…..Your dreams feel so blissful, especially when you’re in that dream like state visualising the gorgeous life that awaits you. You could almost stay in that dream like state forever. It’s magical, it feels so right and you know that as soon as your dreams become your daily reality things will be different.
Then we commute to work, we sit in traffic, it literally feels like you are fighting your way through life sometimes. On those really hard days the high vibrations can fade, the positive thinking can diminish and you just want to scream WHERE IS MY DREAM LIFE I CAN’T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!
I know how hard it can feel when you are trying to manifest the dream job while your job sucks, when you are trying to manifest the perfect home and your current home is falling down around you. It is seriously frustrating when you are trying to manifest your soul mate and you keep dating duds. However, I want to share with you some advice to enlighten you on your journey towards your dreams….
Remember Your First Day of Your New Job?
When you start a new job you need to learn the processes and you can’t be exceptional in your job and give your all to it until you learn and develop the experience.
Remember Your First Day at University or College?
If you studied at university, you don’t turn up on orientation day and the professor hands you your degree. It would be nice – of course. I mean who wouldn’t love orientation in the morning followed by graduation that very afternoon followed by the after party that evening?! So Good! However, orientation was followed by gruellinggggggggg years of lecture halls, tutorial classes and endless studying with a few kisses from cute boys at some very cool parties (but we will keep that a secret for now as it is ruining my point.
My point being, that you studied and learned everything there was to learn so that you could graduate and have some great knowledge under your belt to equip you in adult world.
Remember Your First Interview?
I can remember turning up to my very first job interview (McDonald’s of course, I mean what girl didn’t want to put her head under a soft serve machine after hours). I was nervous before and throughout my interview, I was in my big sisters best clothes and I was fully prepared on delivering why I was going to be the best candidate.
My parents rehearsed questions with me and I had a resume filled with awards, high school achievements and grades (remember those resume days).
Well, turning up to a job interview doesn’t guarantee you a job on the spot (unless you’re a genius freak like my big sister) you have to hustle, inject your fun personality with a few side jokes, share how you will be the best person for the job. Then time goes by and you receive a call for them to tell you that you were either successful or not. And yes, I did scream down the phone receiver when I was told at 14 years of age that I was going to be a McDonald’s employee.
Your dream life takes time to come into form.
Think about the one thing you’re good at, whether it was in school or in adult life. Did you become the best because it was a natural talent or did you work to develop these skills? For me, I was the best runner. I was the fastest and the one to beat. I would get up early with Dad and start running with him at 5am in primary school…I know….child abuse right, but I loved it. This routine developed some great habits for me and I would go on to run Nationally throughout my years of High School and have some really special memories with just me and my Dad.
Everything is a process. Your dreams take time to develop and you need to go through the ringer in order to become the person who can hold the space for your dreams. Being the best and having the best takes time. You need to trust and be patient that you are going through lessons. You are still in the learning stage. Stay here and learn what you need to learn. The more mistakes made the better the teacher!
Stay hungry – Everyday remind yourself of your goals. DO NOT get caught up in going through the daily motions like everyone else. Stay hungry by watching YouTube videos on your competition succeeding and know that it is possible for you.
Keep focussed – Reset your mind everyday and remember why you are working hard on your side hustle. Reset your mind by listening to audiobooks and absorbing as much information from the experts in your field as possible. Learn, learn and learn. The quickest way to get unstuck is to MOVE!!!!!!
Be patient – Being grateful for the wonderful things you currently have in your life will allow you to feel patient. You will understand that your life is a miracle of its own accord and with this you feel like the lucky ones.
Expect the best – Don’t keep scaring yourself. Try not to rehearse the worst case scenario in your mind and freak yourself out to the point of tears. Expect the best outcome and know that you are worthy of the best outcome!
Know that your dreams are on their way, you started creating them the day you thought them into being.
Surrender & trust.
