Some people have it. Most have created it, those who have created it feel waves of constant peace. Those who do not have it struggle, they run constantly trying to keep up…they sweat their way through life with a burden on their chest and a crease in their brow.
I am talking about your sanctuary….Your Home!
We really need to talk about the importance of creating your home to be your most peaceful, serene and hidden space. The space where you create so much beauty and joy that you at times never want to leave it.
While the world is going mad, people are rushing and chasing themselves on the hamster wheel you will be sitting in your Zen den in quiet stillness and blissful rapture.
The Importance Of Creating a Home For Your Soul To Rest & Marvel In…
When you feel flustered at work, or you experience the chaos outside or you are in the vicinity of negative people. It is imperative for your mind, body and spirit to walk into your home and see an organised, clean, pretty home that sings to you while you walk through the door. A home that coats your soul with a warm hug, relaxes your mind with a soft and gentle smile. Walking into a gorgeously inviting home takes love, care and organisation….but the benefits are extraordinary.
Love Yourself Enough…
You truly deserve and you are absolutely worthy of having a beautiful Zen Den of a home. Taking a little time each day to make your home a space of love is an incredibly loving act of kindness to yourself. You may complain and make excuses that you do not have the time to do this and my answer to this is, you do not have time to have a breakdown either. Take the time, love yourself and admit to yourself that you deserve a peaceful sanctuary.
How Do you Make It Happen?
I like to do one big foul swoop of cleaning the entire house each week. This is when I do all the washing, ironing, dusting, vacuuming…you get it!
Then throughout the week I will put things away after I have finished using them. Before I head off to bed I will fluff up the pillows on my lounge, put any clothes away that I threw off when I walked through the doors. The hardest yet most rewarding thing I do before going to bed is cleaning the kitchen. I wash the dishes and make the bench sparkle. Seriously, for women we can get in a bad mood just from seeing mess. It is plain old blah waking up, walking into the kitchen and seeing all the dishes stacked high from the night before. However, taking 20 minutes to do the dishes will set you in high spirits the following morning.

If you work from home make your office space a sanctuary. Fill each corner with beauty, peace and love and it will transpire into your work!
Other God Sent Activities to Bring into Your Mix….
+ Keep your car fuel topped up. Don’t let your fuel go below ¼ of a tank, that way when you’re in a rush you will cruise through without so much as a hair out of place. I always fill my car up to the brim on a Sunday night. Even if I haven’t been out on Sunday, I will drive down to the service station and fill my car up, because I know how annoying and frustrating it is on Monday morning to stop off and fill up my car.
+ Do your groceries online! Hell Yeah! I bet you didn’t even know your soul could smile. Give it a try and you will never look back…its spare change in exchange for 1-2 hours of your time.
